    This animation but I am sure is correct......never seen straps on the rudder pedals.

    I suppose in a negative G manouever there is nothing to keep your legs from rising (extended negative G) and you may not even be able to reach the rudder pedals when you needed the most. I love it.

    Nothing more important than aircraft flight controls.

    1- Fly the plane recover from a bad attitude first
    2- Navigate (find your location heading speed, away from mountains, set Nav instruments)
    3-communicate (tell the controllers what has happened and now we are heading to X airport 6000 ft at 210 knots

    Stick and rudder first even if the tower is yelling at you. Tell them stand by if you want.
