You may have not demanded silence but your disparagements of him seek that result.

All you - and by that I mean, specifically, Armenian, Crusader1492 and Virgil, have demonstrated in railing against Mr. Baliozian is that you have no respect for the old and lack common decency.

In a nutshell, which is appropriate for you nutters, you are barap galeers. Dadark danz.

So, calling him a dissident (which is another Jew derived term by the way) doesn't change that fact that Ara's work is irrational, contradictory, ignorant, self-serving, egotistic, destructive and demoralizing. If there are true free speech champions here they should be protecting my free speech as well. Also, didn't you see all the verbal gymnastics of last night when I confronted him about his foolish and irresponsible comment? Don't expect his type to admit wrong. They are walking talking egos. Like with Ara, the world revolves around them. Concepts like Nationalism and God do not appeal to their egomania.
It's amazing how out of control these threads become with these people. They equate criticizing as attempts to silence...some whackjobs, (like Zourna), leap even further and equate my critisizm (or "mud-slinging" ) as "wishing death" on Ara.

I don't know what else to say, except these are BS people.

It is Ara who does not have respect for the old...look at how he treats the 4000 year old Armenian Nation.

...an you talk haughtily of disparagement? You're not too bright.

There you go creating your own realities again. You are delusional.

Nice sound bite. You tell me what why should I respect someone just because he/she is old? Respect is something you earn not grow into. I rather "respect" and honor young individuals like Crusader, Karo, Lucin or Skhara - than an old self-hating, ignorant, egomaniac like Ara. Got that freaky? People should earn respect, not demand or expect respect.

If you want to act like a street punk and be vulgar then at least attempt to properly spell and pronounce the words you are using. The terms should be: Պարապ Կլիր (parap klir) and Դատարկ Տանձ (Datark Tandz)

Come on now .. is this silliness really reduced to trying to argue whether Armenian et. al. want to "silence" Mr. Baliozian or not? Of course "silencing" him has been the goal all along!

Now back to the real point ... Ara Baliozian obviously has the right to say whatever the heck he wants. The question is, do others have the right to criticize and call him all sorts of names? I would say why not? It is after all a typical anonymous internet forum setting so why not?

It comes with the territory of being in a public forum. If criticism and name calling is not desired, then perhaps a private blog is a more suitable setting for "writing".

This is not to say I agree or disagree with what Ara Baliozian posts ... I am just staying he should have the right to say whatever he wants, especially since he typically creates a single thread and continues to add to it (i.e doesn't randomly spam the entire forum). If his words are really that outrageous, let the reader decide. Worst case, one ALWAYS has the choice of ignoring "Baliozian" threads.
            this post = teh win.

Enter Sip - the king of all that is milque toast and mediocre; bringing down (yet again) an otherwise lively thread with charges of "silliness".

Some speech whether or not anonymous is indefensible. For example, hate speech and defamation.

I hate to have to agree with Sip, but its been silly for sometime now.

A nationalist without a county is like a hoof without a horse.

In simplest forms: Ottoman Armenians who took arms against Ottoman Turkey, at its demise, did so for likely one of three reasons:

                  1. They had to because they either died at the hands of the invading forces or their own country's henchmen (survival).

                  2. They had to protect themselves and their property against their own country's henchmen (survival).

                  3. They were revolting against the Ottoman government.

In the end, regardless of category, they were freedom fighters not nationalists.

What Armenian nation existed in 1915? You don't understand the difference between nationality and ethnicity.

You sound like you're from the ADL with all these references to "hate speech". Are you sure you're not Abe Foxman?

                    Especially since you got involved.

BTW, why do you hate to agree with Sip (not that I blame you - just curious).

No, thanks, I tend to stay out of organized Armenian politics, its so messy.
