Re: Ron Paul speaks truth to power!

I can't really understand why the "mainstream media" always gets the blame for everything that is preceived as bad by so many ... the fact is that these people CREATE and UTILIZE the media with the money they raise. The beauty is, anyone with that much money and man power at their hands could legitimately run for president (as long as they align themselves with one of the two major parties of course ). And as much as people complain about "mainstream media", it is still nothing short of amazing that a "Barak Hussein Obama" actually has a chance to become the PRESIDENT of US.

It is not mainstream media guiding things but people with the money and resources that guide the media that guides the masses. But that has ALWAYS been what "campaigning" has been about ... how to guide all the available media to one's advantage!

Barak Hussein Obama, danced in front of AIPAC -- that make Barak Hussein Obama "ok". Ron Paul never has, and refuses too. His money contributions are huge considering he hasn't accepted a penny from anything representing the military industrial complex or Israel.

Oh Ron Paul has the cash. They kept him out a debate declaring that he was a "serious candidate". Funny, I see support this man everywhere -- and everywhere he is declared as a "not a serious candidate".

Shkara, what percentage of the population do you estimate supports Ron Paul seriously? What percentage of the population do you estimate will support Ron Paul even if he was on TV 24/7?

Well, Sip jan, you are right. The problem with America is very deep rooted. And regardless of how much time Ron Paul is given on the mainstream television-radio-newspapers-magazines - the population will not adhere to his ideology/rhetoric, nor will they comprehend any of it either. That is an indicator of just how far lost American society is today. And it is a good indicator of how nasty its fall is going to be. I don't expect you to realize this, for you are also one of the lost souls: With the national deficit at about 10 trillion dollars and rising; no home grown industry; no home based resources; with the corporatization of the nation; with special interests making policy; with several overseas quagmires that will require perhaps decades to solve; with several further military hot spots on the planning board; with Russia and China rising; and a global hatred towards America - I firmly believe that within our life times we will see this nation fall apart. And if you want to have a vivid picture of how the fall will be, just picture the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina played out across continental United States.

The United States is like a fancy holiday float. Pretty to look at, but there is no cultural/ethical/intellectual substance behind it. The United States is a fairytale riding on the back of the all mighty US Dollar. And the US Dollar (worthless in reality, stays powerful merely because it is internationally circulated) is fully/completely controlled by a foreign element, the Federal Reserve. One strong push and the fairytale float will fall apart.

How can you possibly justify that statement other than your deep rooted personal bias?

I don't know just what percentage supports him. Probably whatever percentage or not mindless drones.

Armenian paints a very bleak picture -- that happening could very much become a reality. He is right -- the dollar is backed by nothing other than certain foreign elements chose to accept it and trade with it as if it is a commodity rather than just a piece of paper.

I saw an excellent documentary on money on youtube where they outlined the history on the Fed and the IRS. The Fed is actually a private bank -- not part of the government. And the IRS was classified as mafia -- believe it or not -- IRS is constitutionally illegal.

You cannot say this. You cannot insult the country or talk bad about its leaders. Heck, you are not even entitled to talk about the country or its leaders, let alone insult them.

                Hahaha. Just kidding.

Personally, em gartzegov es mart dadark a. He speaks very eloquently though. Otherwise, he's a crackpot.

Hey Armenian, if you don't like the float, get off, puhleeze, the fatherland needs you.

Skhara, the bleak picture I painted may or may not happen. I personally think it will within our life time. Nevertheless, the United States, basking in its perceived security and wealth, is very vulnerable at this stage in its history. The very diverse/fragmented society here is held together by a very strong central government and by its 'literal' faith in the almighty US Dollar. Regardless, all empires crash and burn without exception. So, it's all a matter of time. It's like a deal an Empire makes with the Devil who says "I'll give you the world, but one day you will fall into utter ruin..." There are plenty of indicators today pointing towards some form of a collapse in this nation. It may not happen. If it happens, it may not be as drastic as expected. But thus far the indicators - political, social, financial - suggest an eventual collapse. Knowing that the United States cannot continue like this is perhaps the reason why there has been serious talk within political circles about a North American Union.

I look around today and find it amazing how oblivious people are to the serious problems this country faces, to the problems the world faces. Many people I see seem to be walking in a daze, disconnected with the world, with a cold smile frozen upon their faces. Just imagine what would happen here if central government collapses or becomes ineffective... Just imagine what would happen here if the US Dollar/the financial system collapses... Just imagine what would happen here if the standard of living or the social infrastructure fell suddenly and drastically... You will have utter chaos from coast to coast. How will Americans survive a major national made made or natural disaster?

Political entities without a strong national/cultural character, like the current United States, would not be able to resist a major calamity as would other lesser more homogeneous nations. Don't misunderstand me, I hope time proves me wrong. I don't want to come across as if I am wishing for these things to occur here. I was raised here. I have warm sentiments for this land. I gave this land the best years of my life. I benefited from this land. I have close friends here. I have family here. I have investments here.

At the same time, however, I am not going to ignore obvious signs that something very unpleasant is waiting on the horizon.
