I was walking my dog in the fields today and looked down to watch my step and noticed small red berries growing in bunches of 3 or 4 about 2 or 3 inches off the floor, I picked one up and thought it was a raspberry (same size), but I tasted it and it was quite different. It was really tasty, and it turned out to be a mini strawberry, but one that tasted better than any strawberry I've had before.
I was amazed that I could find such a thing near my house here in Montreal, I want to take some of the growing strawberry plants there and put them in my garden and grow some in my house too in pots. I want to see if I can get them to the normal size we're used to eating, and have them taste as amazing as when I picked them off the ground today.
Well, if none of you can relate to my experience, at least take my advice and look for these tasty, tiny red fruits hidden under blades of grass and random plants during june/july when you take a walk in the fields.
