Mine is a dog, because a dog is more of a protector and a friend. I dont really know why people have cats/birds or any other kind of animal.

Cats can be great to play with. But best of all, you don't have to walk them or train them. Dogs are cool but you can't really keep them everywhere (like if you rent or live in an apartment). But the best thing about a cat is you can leave it for several days with just food and water at home and it'll be just fine. This is great if you travel a lot and can't take your pets along.this post = teh win.

I love cats and if I were ever to get another pet I would definitely choose one. Pretty much for the same reasons as Sip. They're very independent yet they can be social when they want to be. Very loving.
I wouldn't mind a Siberian Huskie if I had the yard for it though!
