So who's the new republican leader?

So who's the new republican leader? alot of people down here are saying it should b palin and that she should run in 2012, and i'm like, "...um.....hello???"
Shouldn't still be John McCain, or someone else who was a republican nominee? In a way i hope it's palin though, b/c then the republican party would die, or at least split.

Post Blue Obama just won so why even discuss the new republican leader?

b/c if it's someone who's uber conservative, it will most likely mean that obama will have a harder time working with republicans rather than if it's someone who's more moderate. Also if obama screws up really bad somehow, and the republicans win next time, i'd hope it would be moderates over conservatives
