How many people are actually a fan of Atom Egoyan? And that does not mean that you only enjoyed Ararat. I have all of his feature films and most of his short films. He's a brilliant filmmaker; one of the best working filmmakers. I turned two of my non-armenian film-buff friends into big fans. And did anybody attend the ARPA Film Festival? Aside from your normal film festival activity, they honored him and showed Exotica, Felicia's Journey and The Sweet Hereafter on the big screen and they were beautiful.

The Sweet Hereafter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could I forget to mention that as one of my favorite movies?? Atom Egoyan rocks a lot. I actually took a little while to warm up to Ararat, but I simply adore all his other films. Even the short films that only few and far between have actually taken the time to find and watch.. Awesome. We need to see more talented Armenian artists in the maintream. So arvestaked, are you next?

I honestly didn't know who he was that well until the movie Ararat came out..But, after seeing that I've been really interested in seeing more and more of this man's work. He's very talented..So, which ones should I see?

ck: You bet I am next. I am hoping to buy a camera in March so I can start on a short film which I hope to have completed by the next ARPA Film Festival. I also have 5 additional ideas I am going to work on.

          Violette: All of them:
Next of Kin; Family Viewing; Speaking Parts; Calendar; The Adjuster; Exotica; The Sweet Hereafter; Felicia's Journey.
They have all been released on DVD and are all in print with the exception of The Adjuster which you can probably buy at Amazon.com.

            I am very disappointed.

You all have one week to purchase and watch all of his dvds and compose a full report for each feature.

Atom is the best, ARARAT was one of the best movies I ever saw.
Eventough I still dont get the sex part between the guy and the girl. But in general it sent a deep message to the world but mostly
to armenians! WHAT is OUR fate? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BE?

P.S. Except Atom, there is this spanish guy : PEDRO ALMODOVAR
highly recommend to watch his movies. He has a weird style to depict humans! If u like Atom, ull like Almodovar

yeah... we're armenian. I can't believe we were naked and having sex on screen.
                  what a shame.

what do you mean you don't get the sex part?
or are you repeating what your GRANDMA thought of that scene after seeing the movie?
