    Re: Armenian Comics

Wish there was one about Zoravor Andranik a movie would be great too, of all the revolutionaries his story chiled me the most
Bro, Andranik is in that comic book if I'm not mistaken. I think you can see his head in the image I posted. On the bottom right. But I agree, I'd love to read proper Armenian comic books related to G. Andranik, the AG, our history, etc. Maybe that's why we're bringing our comic team together. If other's aren't planning on doing it, that means we'll just have to. We need our own comic books and we could teach Armenian's about their own history this way also. Many won't read proper history books but they will read comic books, regardless of how long they are.

      Re: Armenian Comics

With respect to your comment on "many won't read proper history books but they will
read comic books, regardless of how long they are."

I think this is true to some extent. Yes, there are some students that do like to
study and will. But there are many that find the reading of history books to be
"booring". They are also influenced by our modern world. Think about it: we now
have mobile phones! Imagine our lives fifteen years ago or more, how did anyone
get along without a mobile phone?! Then there is the video games, then there
is text messaging and instant gratification by way of going to the malls, having this
and that when the teenagers want it. Well, their parents and those generations before
them, they did not have these, and there was regular mail, and there was television,
no cable, no x-box games, none of these. They were more simple times.

They were more disciplined in those generations. They developed a different way
      of being.

it may of been boring material or a long chapter on history, but they read it.

The way of life was different. Obviously.

The generation now, it is different. They can read the comic books you are right,
no matter how many pages! This is written with drawings that make it fun,
interesting, as you know, and this is how to reach these teenagers.

if this is the way to educate them, then you are right, maybe this is the way for
teachers to reach these students. There is the songs, that too. But I think the
attention span is not what it use to be for some.

I do not know for sure what is the cause of this, for what you are noticing, but
I think it is the way of modern life and a different generation that relates to stimuli
differently. if it is done in a exciting way, it captures their attention and then they
      are able to retain it.

I do agree with what you noticed.

I think this is true of everyone of the students of this generation, regardless of what
country they are from. You are right, the older generation needs to reach to
relate to the younger one, or else the history and pride of a people and the
knowledge that they are with a very long history and their communities struggles
for freedom, for a way of life, for their faith and culture-this could be lost and then
the essence that is the core of the youth and the elders becomes done.

This is the sad commentary many notice.
