Have you ever had an image of an art piece in your head, and you can always see it in exactly the same way at any given time? Well I have been having these images in my head recently, and aspire to bring it to life some day. But will this put my vision at risk? Will this make me realise that the image in my head is not so perfect afterall? Because what if after painting it, it is no where near the perfection of the image in my head?

yes, i have a cold..... its been bugging me the past week hehe
as for my image, when you come down to creating it into a physical artform, it never comes out the way you imagined or invisioned it, it always becomes something else completely different, in its own way.
that was what i was talking about. the fact that sometimes you are afraid to tarnish that image in your mind, when you make it and it is never as perfect as the one thats in your mind

Perfection is meaningless. I'd rather talk about satisfaction. Anyway, what you're talking about is the accomplishment of a life.
You have an image in mind, the first time you'll certainly be disapointed of how you materialize it. It's only due to a lack of experience. The important point is certainly to start somewhere, and then to improve what you created.
Fearing the disapointement is certainly the best way to do nothing.
You may have a talent and an image, you have to develop your talent to feel like you've reached the image (hence the satisfaction)
By the way, i'm musician and i think the feeling is the same.
