  • US flooding may result in catastrophic soil/water pollution.

Flooding area is bigger than the whole territory of Italy. In that territory there are chemical plants, waste materials, etc. if all these are covered by deep water it may be spread all over the territory.

This year’s harvest, I guess, would be the lowest in recent decades; resulting in sky rocketing food prices and even world wide starvation.

This is the worst year I’ve seen during my life time; its full of disasters everywhere.

I didn't know that flooding affected golf, too.

It already has resulted in major soil/water pollution, especially in the everglades and swamplands where clean up and control is impossible. I have flown over it a few times and I don't think people realize how massive the effected area really is. You can talk about square miles and such but you really don't get a good feel of it until you see it from the air.

Many fishermen and hunters are out of business for good, and this was their way of live for generations and it is all they know how to do.......they don't want handouts, they want to fish those waters like their fathers did before them.

Alas ... the disasters everywhere affect thousands of average people mostly.
