Mersiner Short stories/novels about what else--Armenians, of course! -- most of my writing is/would be focused in that direction ... that and children's books!

I'm on the "wrong" forums? As in Armenians are devoid of visionary and imaginative thought (i.e. room for creativity, individuality, appreciation for those who refuse to conform?) I refuse to believe that, even as I'm proven wrong by my people time and again. Heh. Thanks for the kind words, KanadaHye jan! Much appreciated.

I no longer feel threatened by others, I can do what I want to do (whatever that may be) and find pleasure in peoples' company without fear, embark on any type of journey and not have to worry about what I've left behind because I'll feel supported by others even when I am not present in their lives at some point.

What does your life look like in this new, changed, and perfect world?
    Refreshing. Pristine and clear.

Where are you, who are you, how old are you, who are you with?
Anywhere, any age, different people and or animals and or plants!

What will you do today in your new and perfect life?
I'd be seen switching between playing recreational sports and games, playing music, climbing trees, accomplishing all sorts of feats without feeling like any work is being done, building, eating, fooling around and having fun. The things I already do now, but in a less constrained fashion, since all concerns about social boundaries, along with worries about time would be gone or at least minimized.

To quote a former office-mate of mine from the grad-school days: "I am the most interesting person I ever met."

Obviously Bell... Did you not already suspect that Sip is perfect?

    5. Logic and thought have taken over in place of dogma, stigma, superstition, make-belief, and unfounded fears.
    6. There are no more cupcake shows on TV.
    7. The death penalty is much more utilized. We have a system in place that efficiently disposes of repeat violent criminals, the mentally challenged, and pretty much everyone who is hopelessly just a drain on society. If you are a rich vegetable and can pay for the machines to keep you alive, you get to stay alive.

Much less time is spent on pointless "debates" like gay marriage, abortion, gun control, etc and much more time is spent on scientific analysis of how each choice really effects society and whether or not there are good long term solutions. What people "believe" is much less relevant that what people can prove or demonstrate.

Where? California ... not really too picky but I'm not too crazy about the armpit areas around fresno and bakersfield and definitely not in the city of San Francisco. Since in my perfect world there are no gangs and places that are generally just filled with crime, Oakland, Compton, East LA, East Palo Alto etc are all nice neighborhoods to live so it doesn't matter.

How old? Anything over 21. I figure I am going to continue to get older and die eventually as I suspect you don't want to make this into some immortality fantasy.

Who are you with? Same people as I am with now. That part is pretty cool.

Go to work .. that part would stay the same. Unless today happens to be a weekend day or a holiday in which case I'lls tay around the house and work on one of the number of stuff I still have going on ... OR if I had planned a trip then I'm out doing that.

I was only asking about your own individual perception of what would make YOUR world that much better, that much more complete.

PepsiAddict, you're absolutely correct--I should answer my own questions to illustrate the point... I had asked:

You open your eyes with the morning light....

What is the first thing you will notice about your changed life?
First things first: I wouldn't be here in the States, I'd be back in Armenia

What does your life look like in this new, changed, and perfect world? Where are you, who are you, how old are you, who are you with? What will you do today in your new and perfect life?
I can see myself rising at daybreak in my family's ancestral home, now centuries old, nestled in the mountains of Syuniq, with only my little family beside me... Walking out to a field of wildflowers to gather the day's fresh pick for the house--just me, my little WWI officer's handgun tucked under a long skirt, and an old volume of Teryan, or better yet, Sevak to keep me company--enveloped only by my grandmother's shawl and the firm embrace of centuries past.... Leisurely days filled with the aroma of lavash fresh from the tonir, the sweet seduction of over-ripe peaches brimming with the sun-kissed flavors of the mountains, the steely silvery glisten of the waters of Arax, the strength of all my great-grandmothers before me, ... and writing, entire days spent writing, suspended in a world all my own, gently folded between the lure of yesteryear and the promise of all the tomorrows yet to come...

    Yeah. That.
That was beautiful! You're a good writer. What would you hope to spend your days writing?

Honestly, what you described sounds pretty darn close to perfect. Except instead of writing I would like to spend the days wandering with my camera and the warm evenings sleeping under the stars.
