Interestingly enough you claimed a while back how the Soviet era had a positive impact on our culture and gave rise to the Armenian Literature, something we disagreed on. Now you are stating the obvious glitch in your reasoning, by pointing out the intentional widening of the gap between Diaspora and Armenia, and the disintegration of the Armenian language caused by the ingenious ideas of the Soviet Party (let it burn in hell). Words might have lost their etymology true, but that is also inevitable due to the continuous influences of empires that have slashed through Armenia. By the way can you find that thread?
The fact remains that had the USSR not been around when it was, Armenia would have disappeared. That doesn't mean that I'm a big fan of the USSR, obviously not. However, I don't like it when people will ignore all the positives because there are negatives, or will ignore the negatives because there are positives.
