Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Speaking of the Passion of Christ, I just came from the theatre, and .....

well, it was ok.. too violent, and i think it tried too hard. i guess it was being realistic though.. i guess.. hmm

i hated the ending, wayy too cheesy. (artistically speaking, of course).

      the devil/satan parts were freaky.

a good movie, but i wouldn't watch it again.

and Mousey, that maze was funny.

btw, Tigran, "who Jesus was"? how do you know he existed at all?

In my opinion if you wanna know about Jesus, read the Bible. Screw Gibson and his movie.

I know who Jesus is and I'm not making fun of him, all I said is that Jesus loves you. And it's true, Jesus loves all.
Ditto Gibson is a llama. However since he likes big epics put on screen I say we start a letter writing campaign for him to do a movie about the genocide. It'll be like braveheart except with a bigger nose.

well, the ending was predictable, yeah, but they could've done it artistically better... it was retarded, the way Mary was looking at the camera constantly..

btw, i LOVED the parts with satan, great make-up, great representation. i think those were pretty much the most effective and attention-catching scenes. who played the role of satan/devil?

Oh, never mind, i just found out it was Adriano Celentano's daughter, her name is Rosalind.

Did anyone catch the meaning behind satan carrying that baby?

I don't think you guys should say that the movie is bad, just because you think that the purpose of that movie is to learn what happened. We all know what happened and how it happened. It was just very interesting to see and the way it was made was just amazing. For example, God's tear toward the end of the movie, and the part when Jesus fell and Mary was not able to pick him up and remembered the past of when how motherly she was toward him, but was helpless to her son(I felt a tear coming on during that part).
"Love your enemies also, because if you just love those who love you, there is no reward." I like that line from the movie and I'm glad the movie wasn't in English. The language made it more realistic.
Did anyone catch the meaning behind satan carrying that baby?
Omg, that baby was scary. I think it was to torture Mary since she watched her son get beaten while Satan was holding his child.....I think. Ugh, I don't even wanna think about that.
The only problem with "The Passion of the Christ" was.....the ending was predictible....
lol. Well, duh! What ending were you hoping for? lol

Oh definitely. It wouldn't have had the same effect if it were in English.

That was the most freaky part, the part with the baby, and also the part when the jewish kids see Judas... what was that.. and i almost jumped from my seat when jesus crushed that serpent.. lol that part was really freaky..

and wtf was up with that king,, uhmm Herodotus or whatever? lol

the movie was good in general, but sometimes too many repetitions.

in no way comparable to Jesus of Nazareth.

i just came back from seeing the movie.....im dumb struck.......

                  i became hysterical......i started laughing.....crying......

                  it was so.....powerful..

i cant believe man kind is so barbaric......so full of such hatred

i was crying as if someone in my family died. It was as if he was apart of me , it was too real.

some of it was unbearable to watch....i kept closing my eyes and crying, it was just too much to indure.....so much pain he felt.

i came out of this movie loving him more.

when i was a little girl....i remember walking into a church in mexico are staring up at huge hugeeeeee wooden christ / chrusified. I remember thinking and feeling how beautiful he is, and how beautiful it was. I was intranced with it. Standing there with my mouth open staring up at something absolutely beautiful.
i came out of the movie remembering that, and feeling it in my soul.

i was so mesmerized by god and jesus when i was small, and for a while...... it wasnt like that in my life. And now i feel its back in me, and this movie brought that back in me .

and i do agree, the movie was very true or close to the bible in many places. It showed exactly how violent, and how realistic everything was.

he did a great job of re creating this for us .

i cry because i am extremly sensitive and very emotional.

im a believer, which is another reason why it got to me a lot.
i dont know....some people cannot cry....and some can. Its how you take things in.

It was unhumane, it was very animalistic and barbaric......how can someone just sit there and look bored ? You had to at least feel some sort of emotion ? give me a f*cking break
