Way to debunk 10% of the criticisms levelled at Jesus. If you all want me to demonstrate further knowledge of the bible and start bringing the intolerable cruelty and vindictiveness displayed by God in the old testament, I will gladly do so.

The old testament aint the NEW testament. 10%? It was more like 50% only because that's what I had time for, while you copied and pasted someone else's work. You switching gears from Jesus to the old testament only shows you're backing away from the opinions of that article.

I'm not backing away from anything. I'm only expanding the argument to a full criticism of all that Christianity is based on. Perhaps you're right. For now I should focus on the gospels. I'll get back to it shortly, and probably start a new thread.

Accepting Jesus is accepting the old testament. Jesus accepted the old testament as did the Apostles. The idea of Jesus was supposed to continue the Jewish faith, not start a branching faith.

That's why there are two different words. The jewish establishment at the time did not like Jesus at all. That's part of why he was killed.
