I think that our likes and dislikes of names, sometimes depend on the people we've met with thos names.

Example,-Oksana-I hate this name, and it's probably because I remember this annoying tall, permed hair chic from years ago.

and then there are some names that automatically give you an image in your mind. Like I mentioned Vartush-I think of a fat woman.

Margo, I think of ugly desperate girl.

Marie- I think of 55 year old tmblik Armenian woman with earings

Gago- I think of Rabiz man with an armenian belly, puffing away on a cigar.

Mkrtich- I think of a thin man with 4:20 Stache.

haha. Good point. I like Raffi because of the writer (no people, not the children's song writer).

And strangely enough, the name Raffi is very rare in Armenia. So if I were to name my kid Raffi, he'd be quite unique.

And besides, Hagop is just Jack in Armenian. ugh.
