What is bothering me so far about Diane Vera, as a representation of theistic Satanism, is that when she speaks of the ideas of Satanism and what is to be gained and why it is done, she is not saying anything that is independant or different from symbolic Satanism. Most of the ideas are shared between the two except for the belief in Satan, therefore why is it not enough to accept symbolic Satanism as a personal philosophy? The theism involved is no better than any other, aside from the fact that it is not really dogmatic, because it is subject to the same logical criticism.
