Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Your relationship with your parents.

Definitely! My parents are really cool and they always ask me what's up and that is an opening if I want to tell them something. They do know most about my personal life. I open up to my mom more than my dad in some cases though, since she is a female and there are things that I don't feel comfortable telling my dad. Other than that, my parents know 95% of my personal life or just overall me.I see...

With stepdady: OK.

I have the best relationship with my mother. She is my best friend. I tell her everything! She's also my hero. She has been through so much in her lifetime, and she stood strong throughout it all. Since I don't have a dad, she does his job, along with her's. For this, I will always be thankful. Every time I think of how much I love her, it hurts because it's so much!

My mother is my booboo kisser. She is the best listener I've ever met. Somehow she has enough to give of herself to everyone, and then ten times over. I would have given up on everything a long time ago if it wasn't for her. She knows when to be mad at me and lecture about this or that, and when to hold me and let me cry or say something to make me laugh. She put in me everything that makes me who I am, everything I value, everything I want in life and everything I look for in other people. She has the uncanny ability to piss me off when she starts her little overprotectiveness thing but I can't help but love her even more because of it.
Wow, that was like ode to my mom. I am attached to my mom and that's something I will never be able to (or ever want to) change.
My dad is pretty great too. =) I guess it's a bt more difficult since he's so quiet, more reserved. I think it's like ia Halebtsi dad thing. The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. -- F. Well if the question was about me loving my mom, there's no question about that. Yes, I love her, and respect her for everything she's done for me. But I still absolutely refuse to tell her anything, because all that would result in is b*tching and yelling and fighting.. Last time I tried, I ended up rushing out of the house and drinking myself nearly to death.
But if she were different, then I guess I would tell some things. I don't know. I guess part of the reason I don't tell her everything is that I keep things inside most of the time, that's my nature, I guess.. Even with friends, I don't feel 100% at ease with them. Even if it's my "best" friend per se. Anyway, yeah.. hmm.. I used to be like this ever since I can remember, which is like, when I was 6-7, so I'm not sure if all the blame goes to my mom, but she plays a huge part in the yelling and fighting when I tell her stuff, because she doesn't agree with it. In other words, she wants to know not because she wants to hear about what I'm doing and who I'm dating, etc., but because she wants to control me. So yea, Tom & Jerry it is....

wow this is interesting stuff guys.
well, I really dont tell anything to my parents about my personal life. My mom is so damn overprotective if i tell her anything shed probably go crazy. I love her but she can really be a xxxxx sometimes when she gets pissed at something it seems to me that she goes against what i want just on purpose. and she has really weird rules and all. for example. if im going out shell ask me "what time are you getting home" if i say twelve and then i call her around 10 30 and tell her that its probably going to be 1 or 1 30 shell be like NO you said twelve and your not extending it get home on time. and then shell start yelling if i try to reason. but i cant really turn to her when i have troubles. it just doesnt feel comfortable. i just dont like her character so much.
my dad, im sorry to say thinks that making money and providing me with things i ask for takes the place of fatherhood. he came to the US when i was 3 1/2 and then i didnt see him until i was almost 8. i dont know if its because we didnt bond during those crucial years or what, but he has never really tried to talk with me candidly and almost always takes my mom's side. I would feel extremely uncomfortable talking with him about anything, especially girls, sex ... And he can be really lazy and get pissed really quickly and just start yelling for no apparant reason like a maniac. for example he will come home and lie down and sleep on the couch in the living room .he does this almost everyday. and then if the dog goes over and starts licking him or something he gets pissed. so i say dad why dont you just go upstairs to the bedroom turn off your cellphone and just have a nice nap up there and we wont bother you and wont worry about making noise or whatnot. at this he gets pissed and says "dont tell me what to do in my own house" and all this other bullxxxx. he doesnt really like to listen. and I cant ever ask him to convince my mom about anything. hes also lazy. i mean im eating and he isnt and the dog starts whining like he wants to go out and im like dad can oyu please take him aout and hell be like what is this, this is your dog, if your not going to take care of him well get rid of him. like wtf. but when it comes to playing with the dog he seems to forget. he can get really pissed and get his point through to my mom when it concerns him but when it comes to me it seems she has the power.
thank god i have my godfather. I am probably closer to him than either of my parents and i feel comfortable talking with him about anyhting and i know he will give me good advice. and plus hes really chill. for example my last birthdate he came and picked me up from school with his $250,000 Ferrari, all the kids were goin crazy, then he drove me to this high class japanese place, and we got some sushi and drank plenty of sake and we just talked about Armenia, and his life and my life and he really listens and really wants to help and since hes my dad's best friend he tries to help me out but usually it doesnt work.
wow i wrote a lot. now i feel guilty for airing my dirty laundry. anyway good thread.

Yeah I share everything with my parents..well I tell my mom everything, but I know she tells my dad, he doesn't like being left in the dark about whats going on in our (me and my sisters) lives. I can't think of anything that I never told my parents about, but I'm sure I didn't tell them something at one time or another, so I'd say they know about 99% of whats going on in my life. I hate lying to my parents, so I never do anything that I think I would later have to lie to my parents about it.
And as far as my personal life goes, well I dont have a personal life besides me and my friends, so yeah they know all my friends.
