I dont think its fair for anyone of us to judge her, or call her any derogatory names...mistakes happen..people make wrong decisions..and most often (hopefully for this girls sake) they learn from their mistakes
of course I completely am against this idea of "competing" for a baby..and like Flames said..its more of the parents who need to be punished...no reality show can just get the permission of a 16 yr old..she is too young and the parents had as much say in this as their daughter...I just think that hopefully the child will go to better parents who are able to take care of him or her...b/c no child deserves grandparents that are willing to trade him/her for money

reality tv programs are annoying as hell.
tv in general is lame, i dont watch it anymore. i used to be a tv addict a long time ago, watching hours and hours of it a day. but i havent watched tv in years now. If i do watch tv, which is rare.... i watch ' touching evil' which is the reason i started watching tv again the past few weeks, to see this one show. Its pretty nifty. And i happen to like bravo because of the awesome movies they show, and discovery, travel and tlc are also great to watch. Other then that, the rest is pretty much junk for me

people seem to come up with any reason to make some lame reality tv show as of late, and frankly its freaking annoying

I don't think that her parents were against this because they were probably very mad at her when she got pregnant, so they just want to get rid of the baby and not make it their or her responsibility.
The producers of the reality show don't care. It's the bling bling (ratings) they care about. lol.
I'm just surprised that people actually agreed to this. Just wrong and is not a good message to teenage girls.
Why doesn't it mention anything about the father of the baby? Hmmm, he probably could care less but still. Sad.

Do you live in some kind of secluded little area with a special bread of humans that are immune to what the rest of the race is susceptible to? Since when do people learn from their mistakes? That very RARELY happens if you're the sort that doesn't mind having unprotected sex at 16. And even if we were to cut her a break on that, the fact that she's going through with this TV show....is that not further evidence that she's a little beyond comprehending the "learn from your mistakes" philosophy and is nothing more than a lost, Jerry Springer show candidate?

I dont live in a secluded world..I just happen to always see the good in people...and I doubt getting pregnant was on her #1 To DO List...girls at that age are vurnable..and naive..they feel like all their friends have boyfriends and they have to have one too...and the idea "everyones doing it" comes up..and lame a**holes make the girl believe that they love her and that is how they can show their love for another, by having sex. I'm not saying all girls fall for this lame BS..but I know of a few who have had their hearts broken b/c of their vulnarbility.
This girl is only 16...she doesnt know what the right thing to do..shes confused and I think that outside sources, like her parents and the reality show, persuaded her into doing this and believing that its right...It's sad really..the poor girl probably fell for the guy(who she trusted) who got her pregnant, now she thinks shes doing the right thing b/c of course she trusts her parents, the parents only want whats best for their daughter, right??? The parents are doing the same thing that the father of the baby did to her..their just screwing her over
She's probably going to grow up and mature and regret all this and not only will she never forgive her parents for letting her go through with it..but she'll feel guilty for letting her own child experience this and know that his/her mom practically sold him/her

Common sense would dictate that it is not tactful or 'entertaining' in the least to watch someone go through the agony of signing the papers to hand over her child. I guess a lot of people out there don't have very much common sense. So the network people and her parents and everyone older than her is to blame for this sheit being on TV, let's say we believe that. I also think that if she figured she was old enough to do something like have sex with a guy, then she's plenty old enough to make the right decision to have her child be put up for adoption without making a big show of it. Of course she had a say in this and it seems like she's eating up the attention, so excuse me if I am not to sympathetic in that regard. Although I do feel very sorry for the girl, this whole situation brings to mind the saying... you've made your bed, now sleep in it.
