that's persian and literally means "snake's venom"--a rather nasty thing to say...but i've heard it used casually

See, I always thought I used weird Armenian because my dad is basgahye an dbasgahyes talk different than other Armenians... but it looks like every street block has it's own dialect, lol.

I speak the eastern Armenian type...so you know atleast 20% percent if not more of my speech is slang terms from a whole lotta countries. You'd be surprised how much "Armenian terms" can be heard in a language like Urdu or almost any Arabic language, they got the same meaning and just about the same pernounciation too. Trust me...I know what I'm talking about. Just from Armenian slang I can roughly cummunicate with people from Central Asia, West, etc...

I'm pretty sure "khent" and "dobrag" (bag) are Armenian words.

Khent (fool) is pure Armenian . Dobrag is PARK

Heradesil and television are both combinations of "distance" and "sight."
Telescope is also, in a sense, a combination of "distance" and "sight", but what's the Armenian?*

In my effort to exlcude all non-Armenian words when speaking Armenian, I'm going to a list a bunch of words I have a hunch are NOT Armenian, but Armenians use anyway (probably either Farci, Turkish or Russian). So if any of you know for sure if these are or aren't Armenian words, let me know.

Ash-khal (Garbage)
Khent (Crazy)
Saroshka (Sweater)
Kal (Head)
Doprag (Bag... or is it box?)
Eshag (Dumbass)
Kife (I actually don't know what this word means other than that it's a positive way of describing somebody... my stepmom uses it all the time)
Khe? (Why?)
Kheabon (Street)
Zah-mar (Best I can tell it means shut up.. but it could be an instrument)
Mek-ina (Car)
Yetim (Orphan)

That's all I can think of right now.

Saroshka -its a Russian word (sarochka) *vernashapik* in Aremnian.

Somethings that I grew up with that were persian were:

Portekhal - orange
Takht - bed
zelzeleh - earthquake
zirzameen - basement (i think)

I'll come up with more... I know there were lots.

to catch a cold in ARMENIA they usally dont say harpokh linel(harpokhem!) / but use the russian world for it instead wich is "grip". I learned this as I spend almost 3 months having grip in armenia in the winter a couple of years ago.
