You have to sign up to buy something online. I was already a member of literary guild, it's like Amazon for books, so all I had to do was get 2 books (for $7). The way they make money is if you forget to cancel membership for something you sign up for online they will charge your credit card every month (without you relaizing it, sometimes). So if you do sign up, you better cancel right away... Also, they probably sell address and email info to solicitors, but considering the fact that I get junk mail all the time and have a special 'junk mail' email address and just shred everything that comes in the mail, I could care less....The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. -- F.
