I can't say I'm surprised by that answer. Which is also why I wasn't surprised at Bush being reelected.

Just to add some fuel to the fires burning in this thread, I found this website to be amusing. I think that use of 4 letter words constantly in any writing is simply laziness with language. But sometimes it can help push a little comic button in our uptight American brains. You have to add a u in the url where the * is (obviously.):

This whole "conservative chic" thing has been relaly bugging me lately. Before anyone attacks me, let me say I'm not an "anti-republican" or a pinko comy or anything like that... but I do tend to lean more towards liberal ideals, as do most people of the younger generation. However recently it's been "in" to be republican... and it's kind of scary. The college I go to is FILLED with people who blindly support republican ideals, these same people who 4 years ago held liberal ones. I remember how youngsters were the one's protesting vietnam, hold rallys for world peace and all that other artsy fartsy crap. But no we have everyone trading in their Eminem CDs for Toby Keith and thinking George Bush is the best thing to happen to this country since Lap Dances were reinstated in California. There's something, very very very VERY unsettling about this... and I live in LOS ANEGELES... I can just imagine how much righter the right is getting in other parts of the nation...

That's what you sound like. You're regurgitating information that you've slectivly remembered without thinking. You have one goal, and that is to say whatever bad you can about the U.S. which is why you changed the subject when I confronted you about the defecit issue.

You don't like the U.S. for your own personal reasons, and everything else is a show and dance. That is why you sound like the teacher from Charlie Brown:

                      whaaa whaa whaa whaaa

The biggest emitter of greenhouse gases is China. And they're just getting started. The U.S. might not have the toughest emissions standards but they are certainly tough.

If you ever go to Mexico city, or Karachi you would see smog like you can't imagine. So let's not feed into your little fantasy where the U.S. is causing all your problems, and spoiling your milk too.

If you ever want to be truly educated, you'll stop reading and listening to only things that agree with your preconsieved beliefs.
