New forum feature.

There's a new forum feature guys. On some threads, if you scroll all the way down, there is a box that says "similar threads." It's cool to see other threads that are similar. All I ask is if you do read the similar threads, please don't post a reply to ones that are old. Let the old threads rest in peace. Don't respond to a post more than a month old. Thanks.

Here's a bit of a dillema Emil jan...

Everytime a user makes a new thread about a topic that was discussed before.. you guys close it or refer it back to the old thread...

wouldn't it be easier to just post a reply to that old thread?

most of the time, they're not similar.

BUT I'm not saying the feature sucks, it's just the way is.

Yes it would be. But when people respond to a post that is 2 months old and the member is no longer active, what's the point? I'm just asking if you do respond to an old post, make sure it's not months old. If you read the forum rules, the admin doesn't want old threads revived. So we have to respect his wishes.

It's a nice feature.. but it would create quite a mess for you guys to clean up...

I dont think every member is going to remember not to post in those old threads... especially the new ones signing on...

Just a thought.
