A loser we all know once told me, 'the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else'.

You mixed that up just a little bit. It was an ex-girlfriend of mine that told me that, and I simply relayed the information.

Everyone eventually gets over it. For some it may take longer than others. Its just a phase in life. Of course, some people tend to keep it with them and remember it from time to time but in general all people forget about them and move on. I have been heart broken before, although not dumped, its just sad to lose a love. With time, you will feel normal again, and you will fall in love again.

I've gotten over (many) women before - sometimes quicker then other times, sometimes easier, sometimes much more difficult...and there have been a precious few where its been very very tough to let go...as I truly did love with everthing I had to give...and still...even though in some cases years...decades...have passed...threads like this get me thinking...and there is still sadness...
