      By the time they can track a source of contamination for something like salmonella, people have already consumed what has been contaminated. I was at a middle eastern restaurant in Michigan at the time of the "outbreak" and the waitress said that they were leaving it up to the customers whether or not to use tomatoes in the food. Out of the table of 10, I was the only one that said "you can't make tabouleh without tomatoes, you think I'm going to let some tomato scare me". The waitress turned around and said "I like the way you think". I couldn't convince any of my americatsi coworkers to even lick a tomato... the only thing we have to fear is bullxxxx.
