I know this feeling. The best thing I could do at such a moment is to walk my dog for an hour or something. It's a win win situation.

I just tie my dog to the treadmill and let it walk itself.

I know, i was just hoping you were one of those extreme dog lovers that would have been shocked and angered over a statement like that.

Anyways I don't have a dog to walk, plus it's to cold to go walking anyways

I live in frickin Canada and I try to walk my dog at least once every two days for an hour, alternating this role of dog walking with my sister, she walks the dog on the days I don't.

Today I went to a construction area with my dog near my house and I was sliding on many ice formations with water underneath them, seeking for new and larger (in terms of surface coverage) ones as I went about. My dog, on instinct, avoided stepping on this ice and preferred the earth. I was finding pleasure in making the ice crack underneath me and watch the dirt at the bottom of the crevices form into underwater murky avalanches. My dog was upset because she was getting bored and could not share my pleasure. I continued my fun for a good 15 minutes until my feet broke through the ice.

I tried to run home so my feet didn't freeze too bad, but because of winter I don't practice my running so often anymore and I had to make pauses along the way. When I got home I removed my wet shoes and changed my jeans and socks.

Then I logged on here and relished in the fact that posts had been made since my departure.
