You have confused Russifying with Sovietizing.

Yeah I agree to some degree we are Russianizing - Sovietizing would be more like naming New York - New Five Year Plan city or some such...naming cities after Breznev or Gorbechev - that sort of thing...or in the case of the USA perhaps it would be Los Reaganlus or San xxxxChenyville or New Rove city....etc
