They used to taste good... but not anymore.

Once I saw a woman making lahmajun, and fromt hen on, I'm not a big fan of it.

She was smooshing the meet on the bread, and flattening it out with her bear hands.

ugh.

you guys are so lucky to live within 1000 miles of a place that sells lahmajoon or lavash? I'd eat a lahmajoon made by a woman who use her bare feet.

You don't live close to Sydney or Melbourne? As I understand these two cities have sizeable Armenian populations.

I think I'd go crazy without an Armenian grocery store nearby. Here in Montebello I know of two - Arax and Shirak. Next to Arax there's the Armenian bakery.

I do live in Sydney, closest thing to an Armenian restaurant is the persian restaurant.
closest thing to an Armenian grocery store is the Lebanese/Persian supermarket

Some of the above supermarkets have homemade Armenian Gata or Lahmajun but still it's not the same as LA (perhaps it tastes better here from what Spirel said)
