Does Anybody Think The Overdue Cali Earthquake Is Almost Here?

Now, THAT was funny, and clever.
I'm not kidding about other stuff, but you managed to 'call me' on that one.
I can't say when because I like the element of random. I am not all knowing--wouldn't want to be (or would decide not to be if I could be). I can sometimes be all-findin'-outin, though. Without free will and random/chaos elements of life... life (for me) would be boring as hell.

I forgot when it was, but people kept talking about the overdue California earthquake. Apparently, it hits every couple of years, and it's been really overdue.
It's the Istanbul earthquake that is the overdue big one. The Anatolian fault-line has been moving from the east to the west for the last few hundred years, and Istanbul is next. But done jump for joy. Afterwards it will probably start moving in the east again, in Armenia.

In case there was any misunderstanding with my joking... Earthquakes are certainly not some planned event. They will happen. The body of the Earth, as an organism (made up of MANY kinds of cells) will sometimes fart. (For lack of better metaphor that Tomservo can appreciate ) Imagine how your individual cells (that make up organs in your body and especially brain cells) might 'feel' when you do/think certain things. Nobody will ever be completely satisfied--but healthy and mostly 'happy' is possible.
What part do humans play in the organism that is EARTH?
Happy Earth Day. Love you (and her too... think in CIRCLES).
Knowing that, people living in industrialized countries who live in quake-prone areas are doing so at their own peril. That doesn't apply to people without the prior knowledge that people in the US have (and sometimes chose to be stupid, though my example were of free-choice stupidity like building mansions in fire areas...)
If you don't eat and your tummy hurts (and protests), do you blame your tummy? Who gets covered more? Thousands of kids dying in inner cities and the analysis of WHY, or the 'victim' wildfire that destroyed (the million dollar, insured, homes) in the LA hills. What's wrong with this story the news tells? (Objective? Fair?)
I know lots about and 'entity' that is the cause of harm *claiming* a 'victim' status.
When the next quake hits Cali, watch what is showed. The images are the 'suffering' of the rich (hopefully will change, now, I hope.)
I still believe I should be a billionare (and get my music royalties). I still would live as I do (but with that I could help so many more, and sometimes money talks....)

Meh. Speak for yourself. I plan to live forever; so far, so good.

AND, I know you were on a Carlin kick, but, just in case you haven't seen this:
"Now listen, I don't know what I think of George W. Bush when he first got in, but I've grown fond of the man, and maybe it's the times we live in. They say he's not an environmentalist. But every time I see his ranch on tv, it looks pretty nice. You know something, if we all took care of our own, we'd have a great environment." -- Dennis Miller
Why I put an REM song "End of the World" (that's great it starts with an earthquake, birds, snakes...) in an message that is now on that thread there makes more sense in the context of the above posts, here.
