babe i just can't spell lool i meant Wilma of course. well doing a Welma would be a bit hard wit trash bags.

they said use trashbag they didn't say you can't accessorise it right? bring out the feathers and all, you can do soo much, or you can make a 1920s outfit with a trashbag it'll be so easy

now I am getting excited about all this I am going to make one and take a photo for you guys (can't be this weekend im off intersate for work) but will have somthing next week

But anyway, thanks for the idea...we'll see how it turns out...(when you said to use feathers, you mean to buy the small ones and glue it all over the bag? Or are you refering to big ones?)

One of the party requirements is that EVERYONE will have to make their costume out of those big trash bags...
I'm actually thinking about using colored duct tape to make my costume a little more fun...don't really know what I'll do...

I remember seeing, earlier this year, an African fashion collection - I don't remember the designer(s) - entirely made of plastic bags, trash bags and other material that we usually throw away. I was quite impressed.
Also, I believe that Galliano used trash bags in one of his collections.

It would be great if I could buy a costume ready-made...hehehe...I could brag that my trash bag is made by Galliano...

I was thinking a shirt, cinched at the waist (use the drawstrings for a belt), a folded bag for the skirt (the bottom part half cut so that it is up by the waist as well) and another trashbag cut down both side seams for a trane to the skirt. (I'm thinking 1980s). ...It'll probably look better in white than black. ...If you lived in NY, blue would also be an option...

But this may be where the future lies. Eco/ethical/fair trade fashion - whatever you want to call it - is big news at London Fashion Week thanks to a whole section in the show tents assigned to ethical clothing - otherwise known as Esteticha.

Check the official site of Ethical Fashion Show that is currently occurring in Paris. I've seen some of them and they looked good to me - I did not check the web site, but I hope that pictures are posted online.

Well, I ended up copying the design of one of those website and made myself a dress out of a big black trash bag...it feels kinda weird though...I think I'll wear a body suit (or whatever the name of it) under it...maybe I should wear shorts too...I'm afraid the bag will rip or something...

Anyway, the party is tonight, and I'm hoping ppl are actually going to show up dressed up in garbage bags...if they don't I'll be REALLY upset...
