Re: Who Remembers This ?
Elia, Parajanov's film is very abstract.
This is not Parajanov's film, but it is Sayat Nova: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS_YI2CbGB4

Re: Who Remembers This ?
Robocop is a classic. I was obsessed with this movie when I was a wee little lad. I thought it was just "cool" back then. Wasn't old enough to appreciate some of the more serious commentary. The cynical shots at society displayed in the forms of insulting television ads, and a post-Apocalyptic looking "future" Detroit city are brilliant. And of course, the battle of man vs. machine.
I'd be torn on a re-make, though. Yes, it would be cool to see a modern day version, featuring all the advancements in CG and effects that we have now, but I'm afraid they'd destroy the essence of the movie as Hollywood so typically does on re-makes.

Thanks for pertinently "Remembering This," I wish the idea occurred to me!Cinephiles would agree that "The Color of Pomegranates" is a movie of great cinematographic value and has far more chances to survive oblivion than a production of almost no cinematographic value such as "Robocop."
Talking about remakes and movies that should be remembered, please let me know if you find any digital copies on the Net of Fassbinder's "Berlin, Alexanderplatz." Thanks.
Berlin-Alexanderplatz (Amazon)
Berlin-Alexanderplatz (Imdb)
