Well as surprising as it may sound, this occurs once in a while. As a person living in Jerusalem, i dont really run into this but i've seen a few cases of vandalism. That said, Israel treats non-xxxs or mixed xxxs unfairly, from personal experiences, wearing a christian cross is considered something like wearing a swastika in Israel.
