This marks my first post here. I had previously read threads on and off on this board, and I decided to join since I really liked the topics and the comments being posted.
I'm not new to the "Armenian presence" on the web. I witnessed its growth and popularity for the past 12 years. Back then I was an undergrad at USC and that's when the whole internet was picking up. Those days Armenians would hang out on IRC forums and a dinky HTML based chat website (I forgot the name of it, but I think it ended up evolving into a forum if I'm not mistaken).
Back then I also had the first "webpage" where people could download Armenian music. Now this was before the craze of MP3s. I'm talking about old-school MIDI files. Being lazy, I didn't do much with the site, and it didn't take long for those files to be spread all over the web! I can still spot some of those files here and there. Definitely glad that the collection has grown.
My new venture is an online directory for all things related to Armenian weddings in the greater Los Angeles area. We simply called it Harsanik.com. It's been in existence for over a year and we've been watching its popularity grow. We got a lot of helpful comments from users, and we always welcome more.
I'm looking forward to contribute to whatever extent I can on this board. I tend to be quiet unless I really have something to say. So we'll see!
