Timothy, I think we've seen you here before.

Were you not the Randian Objectivist?

        Have you changed your views?

Welcome, don't be a tool, you speak well. The problem is not speaking, language is only a superficial means to communicate, it is the ideology that is important, the same mind set. Anyhow, welcome and enjoy your stay.

haha yes that was me. I have changed my views - or at least am in the process of doing so. Although some may call it irrational, Objectivism doesn't work for me anymore. I think it alienates the person from the rest of the world and creates a fanatical us vs. them mentality.

It also does not allow any room for ethnic identity which is another reason why I have virtually abandoned Objectivism.

I wasn't trying to be a "tool". I don't really get a lot of practice with my Armenian outside of speaking to my father - and even then I have to practically force him to speak it.

What ideology do you speak of?

It is the Armenian ideology, the one that is passed down from generation to generation, this is what connects people to each other, the mannerisms and commanality that is shared through living similar experiences, memories of our experiences we share with one another, this is what brings a people together.
