Hello my name is Terri. My husband is of Armenian descent. His family, great grandfather, left during the genocide period and migrated to Uruguay, South America. Just recently, after many years of digging through documents and family papers, my husband correct surname was placed on all his legal documentation. It's a long story, but we are so happy to have accomplished this action because of the importance of family and its original culture. His last name, which now very soon will be mine, is Toursarkissian. I am of Puerto Rican decendents and in my culture family is number one, your surname is your blessing and you should be proud to say who and where you are from. I am very proud that my husband today wears proudly the name given to him by his ancestors "Toursarkissian".

I hope if there are any Toursarkissian's in this site, you will introduce yourself. My husband is anxious to know family from Armenia.
