Hey Everyone!
My Name is Andrew, I go to high school (10th Grade) in a small town in Minnesota (U.S.), I have lived here my entire life, and just 4 months ago i turned 16 and got my driver's license. I had always looked forward to getting my license to drive more than anything else. Having it means great freedom for me! Being that it is winter here I am currently driving my 1990 4x4 Ford Ranger, its gets around great in the snowy weather. But in the summer i drive my 1986 Pontiac Firebird, which i just recently bought. Doing a google search for stuff about Firebirds brought me to this site and I registered and here i am! I can hardly wait for spring to come so i can drive my car again, i park it to keep it from rusting in the winter from the road salt.
*I enjoy having a "stock" vehicle that is all origional parts, i like to feel like i am back in the 80's (80's music rocks)
I personally enjoy knowing all the specs i can about my vehicles, so if anyone is interested or cares, my Firebird Specs are:
2.8 L V6 (Standard Stock Engine) 135 HP
4 Speed Automatic Transmision
1986 Firebird Special Sound Option Package with 2 Subwoofers+Amp
T-Top Roof
Solid (Live) Axle Rear Wheel Drive (FUN!!!)
Dual Exaust (Origional, i should replace it)
And allmost all other 1986 options (Cruise Control, AC, etc.)
It is a great car, I was looking for a classic 80's car and found this one. At first before i drove it i was leary of it being an automatic and a V6, but i bought it anyways and i found that Pontiac had not let me down. The V6 is a high output motor that is nice and lightwieght, and it really pulls the car along FAST. The acceleration is great, and the automatic tranny doesn't bother me at all, if i want to i can control it manualy. (to a certain extent) And the T-Top is more fun than any convertable. I lucked out with the sound package the origional owner had gotten, it sounds like i have some 1000 dollar aftermarket sound package but everything is origional. My only plans for aftermaket parts is to get an underglo neon package for the exterior. It could use new paint but i plan to wait a few years because i want to keep this car for the rest of my life and painting it now it might not stay nice for very long, i am only a human teenager and i can't help having fun with it now and then!
So thats me and why im here, i like to talk about cars!
