how the US's mainstream media let Americans down as proven by its current reporting of McClellan's disclosure of the US's use of propaganda to sell the war as some major, new revelation.
It is well know that the US embraced Hollywood to promote support for WWII; some would say the Hollywood engine really did not start until that horrible day on December 7, 1941 that will be remembered in infamy.
It is also well known that the US provided Iraq political and economic assistance, including, among other things billions of dollars in loan guarantees (which were mostly defaulted on to the expense of American taxpayers) and removal from the terrorist watchlist between 1982 and 1988 and arms (incl. WMD technology) in part to help Iraq fight Iran.
It is also widely known that Iraq used chemical and biological weapons on Iran in 1984 during the Iran-Iraq war and in 1988 against the Kurds.
In fact, since 2003, the US has found pre-1991 chemical munitions in Iraq but the US consistently told Americans it did not find anything and media reports in the US about this discovery has been almost wholly absent. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1
What is not widely reported by the MSM although readily available to the public are the events whereby 43's WH acquired Hollywood's assistance, including that of George Clooney's attorney, in selling the war against terrorism which lead to the current Iraqi invasion.
So the fact that Iraq had WMDs, or that the US supplied WMD technology to Iraq pre-1991, or that the US gov't used propaganda to sell the war is not new information. The real revealation is that the media would re-package and report this old stuff as some new information.
The real news is that the media failed to inform the public that the premise for the war against Iraq (which was the US's thrust move on the war on terror) as it had WMDs was fallacious and that its current reporting that the US used propaganda to sell the war is not news at all.
