Another one of my favorites... this one is also in Armenian.

Ah yes...I know this one by heart. Very nice poem.

Who translated Kipling's "if"? Was it Vahan Deryan, or am I way off?

I'm pretty sure you're right but I don't quite remember. I'm suprised I actually remembered the entire poem in Armenian, enough to write it down right no and post it for you guys.... Vahan Derian sounds very familiar but chem kider. It's been almost five years since I learned this stuff..

Been five years for me too. Either Derian or Bedros Tourian.

Well, (almost) everyone knows the "yev inchoo bidi chhbardanank? Gank, bidi linenk, ou ter shadanank" part, but the whoooole poem is amazing. Gives me goosebumps everytime.

Pardon the quality, I attempted to scan it from an old book we have.

It appears I will have to separate the poem in two, as it is too big..

Moushegh Ishkhan eh? Weird...I kept remembering the name of Deryan..

                      Ishkhan also wrote

Hay Lezoon doonn e Hayoon Ashkharhis Chors Dzakeroon
Oor ge mdne amen Hay iprev dander harazad.
Gsdana Ser yev snoont, srdi hbard tsndzootyoon
Yev poryanen ou pooken hon ge ma mishd azad.

It gets a lot better as it goes on, but I don't remember it by heart, and most of you guys don't bother reading armenian in english letters anyway.
