  • I wish I could read something in Armenian. I have to figure out the characters in every word I read and on top of that my parabashar is not very zarkatsadz. I have heard so much of this wonderful literature, it pains me not to read it. I am hoping on starting some poetry to give myself that extra push. I hope to one day read my godfather's books without difficulty; his writing is quite difficult. I began to read the first sentence of one of his books and when five minutes had passed and I had completed the sentence I was lost.

    • If you guys like Baronian's humour, you should try Yervant Odian too. "Azkayin parerar yev ayl badmvadzkner". Some pretty funny stuff.

        Agreed. Odian is great too

          • I started reading one of the big Raffi books we have at home. I've already read "Khente", but now I think I'm going to read all the 10 books we have of him.

Ah, "Khente" is truly something else. The kind of book I couldn't let down. I finished it in about 2-3 days. A MUST READ for all Armenians. And for you non-Armenian reading Armenians...I guess you can read it in english. It's called "the Fool" by Raffi.

                • I just finished reading Oscar Wilde's Salomé. It's overrated.

                  • I thought Salome was hilarious. Considering it only takes about an hour to read, at most, I say it's well worth it.

                    Let's see, what am I reading now . . .

Grey's Anatomy (brushing up on the brain)

Abolition of Man - C.S. Lewis

Fundamental Principles on the Metaphysics of Morals - Immanuel Kant

Explaining the Human Genome - Not sure of the author

The Future of Life - Edward O. Wilson

Also some book that discusses the major pre-Socratics. I can't remember what it's called.

I'm not sure I got the point of it, really... I had read half of it before, but I still can't see the "comedy"/humour in it..

Now I'm reading "Unix for Programmers and Users."

Are you a multitasker like me? I read 5+ books throughout the day... lol...
