    OBSERVATIONS
    ********************************************
Once upon a time they challenged the might of an empire. They are now afraid of the words of a minor scribbler. They preach heroism but practice cowardice.
    *
My ambition: to expose that which is covered up and to state clearly and briefly that which everyone almost thinks.
    *
Failure is a better teacher than success.
    *
To succeed in one field means to fail in a thousand others.
    *
In an ideal society everyone would be a success because everyone would be allowed to find or invent his own field.

I cant say i disagree with too much of what you write but your perspective is very much americanized and i see a lot of anti eastern and socialist ranting which is misplaced and uncalled for. You seem to idealize things which are far from ideal nor realistic. I am all for self reflection but there is no need to idealise things or to demonize them which i think you end up doing either intentionaly or unintentionaly. The concepts like freedom of speech and democracy do not exist in reality and they never have.
        i prefer democracy to authoritarianism.
in the same way that i prefer honesty to charlatanism.
        is that idealizing?
        i don't think so!

If fighting Authority is our duty and honor, fighting, resisting and protesting the world empire who the Turkish state is a peon, is of the utmost.

Modern day Democracy is taken from the model of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. They are both history and so is democracy because like any system, corruption eventually finds a way to circumvent the system. Freedom means to be free of any system of control.

This is starting to become a anarchist thread hehe. Ara, democracy is the most currupt and warlike form of government ever invented. Democracys start more wars with other forms of governments and other democracys then non-democratic governments. The people always end up being herded like sheep by the more clever potititions who use the public resources for their own gains-agendas. It's not like i have the answer to everything but i simply do not think democracy does either.

It was pointed out to me by a cynic that Greeks did not have democracy since large part of their population were slaves with no voting rights.

Essentially you have like minded people passing judgment and decisions.

Modern day examples are secret government, countries governed by totalitarian parties.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Maybe what Ara means is that he considers countries safer when peoples' cults can be found in the carefree world of entertainment and art, rather than in the dangerous world of politics and religion.

When people's freedom lies in what they feel like buying today at the mall, what kind of house they'd like to buy and where they would like to go for vacation, rather than a freedom painstakingly worked for, even risking one's own life to attain, but in the end, to be enjoyed by the leaders who sit on top of the establishment.

That carefree world just doesn't exist though anywhere. Your art is criticised and banned by some religious nutts, your entertainment is heavily sensored by the government and those who control it. Just try to show a honest and fair documentary on the israeli and palastinian issue on network tv in the USA.
