  • Israeli support for Iran during Iran-Iraq War?

What do people think about this claim? Iran understandably denied it, but there are several sources that allude to this, as also Israel was afraid of a victorious Saddam.

Its true. The shipment was not that big but it was an Israeli effort to keep the bloodshed going while Saddam was using chemical weapons on Iranians, provided by?

Those Mullahs are dirrectly responsiblility for the deaths of many Persian youths (giving them a key to heaven if they die while clearing minefields by running over them instead of training and weapons) and for not listening to the advice of battle hardened Iranian officers who knew what the fck they talking about against advancing into Iraq which turned out to be a defeat of its own.
These officers were the Iranian heros who not only stopped but destroyed Iraqi attempts to invade Iran, including the destruction of complete Iraqi airforce by a daring mission.

The US supported both sides too. War and politics often result in strange bedfellows.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Iran supported America when they were invaded Afghanistan and is still supporting them in my opinion.

Like I see the Iranian and Israeli regimes need one and other to keep the population scared of a foreign threat, while there are foreign enemies the people will not rise on mass against the domestic enemies.

It's amazing that the Iranians were able to thwart an invasion by a better trained and equipped Iraqi army. Though on the other hand, a defensive war is much easier to find than an offensive.

This is basically the premise of any government.
