One of the biggest problems people in the USA have is that their media/news sources are misrepresenting the truth and often flat out lying to them. For most working people it is hard enough to earn a living and doubelcheking the facts is too difficult or time consuming. News sources like CNN and FOX news are tools for those in power to manipulate and control public opinion regardless of facts and reality. I started this thread so we can help each other in finding more reliable sources of news and information. While i or others will suggest this or that source it is important to understand that what is or seems to be a reliable source can change and be pressure or otherwise manipulated to lie to us thus it is always important to consider who is saying what and why might they be interested in saying this regardless of the source. I teach in a college and i am always looking for reliable news sources and information to use in my classroom and i have found democracynow.org to be a very useful source of news and information. I hope this thread will allow us to inform eachother about reliable (as much as possible) sources of news and information.
