Take a course on it if you can afford it, and study your ass off. A high SAT score can mean real scholarship $'s.Take it more than once. Study with people that are fantical about the test, but don't become a fanatic yourself.

On a serious note, practice practice practice ... even if you take a course, it won't help if you don't take a billion practice tests youself. Score the tests and then go over your mistakes.

It is VERY important that you time yourself while taking practice tests. If you can't easily finish a test at home under relaxed conditions, just imagine how much more difficult it will be in the actual test.

At least you should know all the instructions so you don't waste time on figuring out what you have to do. Learn how to eliminate obviously wrong answers. If you can eliminate one or two, take a guess! If you can't eliminate any wong answer, it usually won't make a difference if you guess or not because they penalize you for wrong answers if I remember correctly (it's been a while for me).

Also, plan to take the actual test 2 or 3 times but plan to do your best every time. It doesn't get easier

OK hayq believe me or not I got me a pretty high score on the SAT, even though i didnt use it to go to a good college and stuff, but thats beside the point.

                ok here the secret
read the prep books several times about a week or so before the test. and then relax and dont worry not even a single time. its important not to stress out.

for that week make sure to eat right and sleep atleast 8 hours a day. when you sleep you're mind organizes stuff

and finally believe in yourself and be positive mannnn

What sort of stuff do they ask on SATs? And is it representative at all? Just wondering because we don't need SATs to get into college or uni. A highschool diploma (AP level) is enough to get you into uni.
