by the way has anyone ever gotten a phone call and the people started speaking in Armenian or Russian for example, and it turned out being a wrong number?
this happened to me twice with an Armenian person and twice with a russian person. its hilarious when you look at the sheer odds and how small they are.

I've had quite a few wrong number armenians, and it's very weird, because both sides are determined that they have the right number.

Caller: Parev, garogh em Hagopin hed khosil?

Me: (knowing that there is no Hagop, but sure that he just made a mistake in pronouncing the name) Voroo hed? Vrouyri hed?

Caller: Ché, Hagopin

Me: (still not understanding that it's a wrong call) Ov e khosoghe?

etc, etc...

We turn out to be cousins in the long run anyways...

We get alot of those too, but i live in Glendale so this is common here. Although it is soo true about the wrong number in Armenia, because when i visited Armenia (which was incredible and if i could i would move back in a second) I was staying at my morkurs house and we would get a wrong number call often and one time i picked up and it was an Armenian girl and we ended up talking for like an hour, and it turned out that she was from Komitas and when i lived in Armenia back 14 years ago i lived in Komitas and it also turned out we played together and were friends back then. Small world!

Tell me about it. I miss it Baron, i miss the walks in the parks and the old ladies selling shemushka and the nights spent at Opera walking around with the jahelutsun, i miss monument and eshmiatsin and garni gexhart, i miss the excessive amounts of gatherings with families and the FOOD the incredible FOOD. I miss the rocky streets that are impossible to drive on, the cars (zap,06, 07, niva) ofcoarse the shukaner, the stores that look like downtown, diskatsekaner@, and especially being able to look out through any balcony and seeing the amazing Masis and sis, it looks like a painting floating in the air. I MISS EVERYTHING MANNNNN.

EHHHH you say it thats simple, and my parents would love to! but my sister and her new kid and family their life is here and my mom would never leave them, and i wanna be there as my nephew grows up. So im stuck! But i will eventually move back, and i plan on visiting often!

Summer 2003! Next time will probably be summer 2005, though I want to tour eastern europe and Russia before getting to Armenia.
