Probably but I was always ugly until I grew facial hair, then I became okay-looking.

I'm sure you don't look ugly clean shaven. It's just that after shaving after having facial hair for so long, you have chin-phobia for a short while whenever you look in the mirror. I just shaved my beard last week and went through the same.

I've had my goatee for so long now. My mom and sister don't let me shave because they think I look ugly. My girlfriend of almost 2 years has never even seen me clean shaven. I would like to shave but it's true... I look like a grape.

I keep a short beard every year or so; nothing major. I like having facial hair, it makes life interesting. However, if I did look good clean shaven (like Anonymouse), I would probably stay clean shaven.
