It is upsetting.

I think we should divide the people of the United States into social and intellectual tiers: alpha through delta. Then we give everyone a happiness drug called Soma on a regular basis. Anyone who disagrees will be considered a savage and will not be allowed in the cities and would have to survive on their own. Oh and we can invent this game called obstacle golf for everyone to play and be happy with. Yes that sounds like a utopia.

Carisoprodol was approved by the FDA in the mid nineties. Huxley wrote B.N.W. in the early thirties. I wrote a paper called "Somantics" talking about the origin of his usuage of the word. It is most likely from the Indian drink or the Greek word meaning body (as in psychosomatic).

Cool. I just read it for fun. My girlfriend recommended it. It was her favorite book and made her want to become a genetic engineer. What a sick girl.
