It depends on how ethnocentric you are. If you're not familiar with that term, it means how egotistical you are about your own culture.

There is no scientific evidence that marriages across cultures is "bad." It all varies per person. For instance, some users here are of the belief that Armenians should only marry Armenians (whatever the reason may be). However, others are more "liberal" or more "tolerant" of the idea (again, whatever the reason may be).

Ultimately, the decision is up to the both of you. After the two of you have decided, you have two options: a) see how both your families see it and move on from there, or b) do not date each other.

*This last was what my boyfriend and I did. I am Latina (technically chicana) Americana. He is Armenian.

Be careful who you ask advice of though. You're going to receive strong bias per side. For instance, check out the first posts; also, like I mentioned, I'm in a mixed race relationship.

yeah but you have to make sure child grows armenian, no latino culture, though still highly discourage marrying in the first place.
