I am telling you not every single person who is gay was born gay but a lot of cases are due to upbringing and childhood trauma/molestation. There are also those that choose the lifestyle.

"promotion of the culture cultivates the [homosexual] behavior" is a VERY different statement than "luring young kids into prostitution" and "giving them hormones to physically change them." VERY VERY VEEEEEEEEEERY different.

BEING GAY is such a taboo for Armenians:
- because most of them aren't developed that much, to know that being gay is NOT a choice. They think that it's satanic, and that you will burn in hell forever if you remain living gay.
- Armenia has endured so much troubles, and so many people have been killed, that fear has become a part in Armenian DNA. A fear for children who will never be there, because there are gays who don't seek woman but men.

This doesn't seem to be an Armenian-specific thing. It's the same way in many places ... it is much much worse in Iran obviously. So I don't think it is fair to say that Armenians have somehow become fearful. Hell even in the US, a large part of the population is still scared of the gays and thinks it's some sort of infection that their kids will get if they are "exposed" to it

This is the part that I take offense to. Do you know that young boys in Thailand are often lured into prostitution and given hormones since there is profit to be made from them? What Armenians are against is the allowing for a culture that exploits people whose minds aren't fully developed and mature. Yes, there is a population that is born a certain way but I think culture has a lot to do with it and Armenians don't want to promote such a culture.

I couldn't care less if you are gay or not, but what I do care about is you not keeping it to yourself. What happens or doesn't happen in your bedroom is your business. You don't see me making a thread or anyone else saying we're heterosexual.
