If someone tells a you that they love you, how would you reply if you didnt love that person.

My ex boyfriend told me he loved me before I told him. It wasn't that big a deal. I just responded that I liked him a lot and loved all the time i spent with him and being around him (which was the truth). Just respond truthfully and it shouldn't be a problem at all.Originally posted by panda

telling someone you dont love them back sucks ass, it also sucks ass being told the other person doesnt love you like you love them.
some people think its not a big deal, but for others it is
its just a hard subject to deal with i guess.
words are meaningless and forgettable...

I agree with the Advocate and the Stud..just tell him/her like it is..I dont see what's so complicated in that...and yes it might hurt his/her feelings but its better to tell the truth then telling someone you love them when you really dont...b/c it will hurt even more when he/she finds out the truthComment

I would definetly tell them that i don't love them, and i'd appologize but i can't feel the same way they do for me and there for since love isn't mutual it can't be a good union.
