There are degrees of being protective and I don't agree with parents who chain their daughter to her bedroom but one day when you're a father and have a daughter you'll think a little different. You should be so fortunate to find a girl that comes from a nice family and is taught morals and values because one day she may be helping raise your own children. As a father, or even an older brother, you wouldnt want your daughter/sister to be out and about with every guy she comes across.

I don't know about you, but as a guy, I have utmost respect for girls who care about their reputations. It has nothing to do with being prude, snobby, or stuck up. They are simply waiting to come across the guy they find themselves perfectly compatible with.

Easy there Violette. Lena just didnt word her response clearly. I shall clarify it for you. She only means to say is that she wants to feel like a girl/feminine sometimes and be protected and fussed over. You might be the strongest and most confident guy or girl in the world, but sometimes it just feels good to have someone take care of you and worry about you a little. Makes a person feel appreciated/cared for I guess.
