Do you prefer men to be clean shavin or have goatees?

I think most men can't pull it off. It CAN be sexy, but isn't usually. I wouldn't want one on a man I'm dating or married to. I like a clean cut look all around.

Personally, if a guy has a strong jaw line, a nice goatee only accents that. If he's frail and whimpy looking (even though I wouldn't care to look) I think the clean shave would be better.....

Violette - you go girl! I like your attitude! ...and don't you just like that soft but bristly feel elsewhere (...I mean besides up against your soft face...of course...) as well!

I've had either a goatee or a beard since I was about 16/17. My wife comented that she had never seen me without a beard (only in pics - and of course from long ago...). So she convinced me to shave my beard into a goatee 2 summers ago. I since have grown the beard back - but just narrowly along my jawline - connecting the "Van Dyke"? part with my sideburns - very narrow (sometimes - oops! shaving it off altogether... ) - just along the jaw (unfourtunatly its more work to shave...and I have to shave about every day - where before I could always go a few...ah well... ). Sometimes I let the beard around my chin grow longer (and I've had it perhaps 4-5 inches long - ZZ Top like! before....braid me baby! ) - most mostly I keep it pretty trim...oh yeah - I am getting a bit of grey (but not at all too bad) - sideburns only...another reason to keep 'em trimmed a bit...but if I go grey - well what the heh...eh? ....its just the way it is...

(OK I used them all - smiliees -on this post...well the more or less happy (and naughty) ones anyway....
